We began her with the EFAC cream for 30 days to the areas affected as needed. After we saw that she was not going to be sensitive to the fact cream, we began a course of EFAC caps at a dose of 2 caps t.Ld. while using the EFAC cream palliatively. She began to see relief after about 5 weeks and has had sustained relief since while reducing the EFAC caps one cap t.Ld.

46 year old male with a history of generalized achiness and pain associated with fibromyalgia. As a pilot he was quite limited with choice of medications. We initiated a program with use of EFAC on a p.r.n. basis. His use was primarily when flying or when required to lift any objects for any extended period of time. His relief was significant the vast majority of time except when sleeping on a poor hotel bed. We found that when he combined light stretching with the use of EFAC in the morning, the pain discomfort was reduced by 50% as opposed to stretching alone.

62 year old female with a complicated history of multiple comorbidities including fibromyalgia. She was looking for solution that was natural that would not stress her liver or kidneys because of serious issues with these organs. We began her on a course of EFAC caps two t.Ld. for 60 days and in reducing to 2 caps b.Ld.. She also used EFAC cream p.r.n. for pain and achiness associated with a fibromyalgia. After 45 days she began to experience relief significant enough to improve her sleep. After this time she began to see much greater gains in her pain reduction as well as functionally in her activity of daily living.

61 year old female with a history of fibromyalgia and neck pain as well as migraine headaches that she’s tried medications for but had difficulty with side effects. She had been through pain clinics and said the most productive thing that came out of that was relaxation techniques that were somewhat helpful. We initiated using EFAC cream on the suboccipitals and upper trapezius bilaterally as well as along the medial border of the scapula bilaterally. Patient reported that 50-70% of the time she was able to get significant amount of relief. Relief otherwise was minor. The excess amount of activities were usually associated with minimal relief.

64 year old male that presents with history of fibromyalgia that began after surgery. He stated that the anesthesia and other medications and made him very achy and groggy and that this had progressively become worse over the last year. He began a course of detoxifying him. After this time he was able to reduce to one T.Ld. which continues to mitigate fibromyalgia symptoms.

34 year old female who presents with an extensive history of health issues. Her primary concerns was finding a natural solution to reduce pain from her fibromyalgia without medication or interfering with her current medications. She began a course of 2 EFAC caps t.Ld.. She did not experience any relief until approximately 90 days after which pain slowly began to let up. We recommended the patient gradually reduce her dose to one T.Ld. however the patient was unwilling to do that. The patient continues to take 2 caps t.i.d. with continued relief.

33 year old female with a complaint of fibromyalgia of 8 years duration after an accident that initiated her progressively worsening symptoms. She’s been to physical therapy as well as seminars on relaxation and self care for pain. These have been intermittently helpful however she has not been able to get lasting results. We suggested the use of EFAC cream which she began almost immediately. After her initial uses she experienced a 50% reduction in her pain as well as improved range of motion in her shoulders and cervical spine. We suggested the use of her cream on trigger points at the superior medial angle of the scapulas as well as the sub occipital regions. She found this gave her relief. She’s been able to use the EFAC cream along with the techniques and stretches that she had learned previously and together has been able to obtain lasting relief for about 90% of her symptoms.

48 year old female with history of migraines and fibromyalgia-like symptoms that she’s been experiencing for the last 3 years. Though she wasn’t now, she had been working in a factory that had initiated her symptoms. In addition to her adjusting program, we suggested the use of EFAC cream palliatively to the areas affected as well as on the temporalis muscle bilaterally. She said she got almost immediate relief from the intensity of her headaches and mild to moderate from her fibromyalgia symptoms. Over the course of the next 6 weeks her symptoms gradually lessened in intensity and frequency. With the addition of an exercise program and EFAC cream immediately afterwards the patient had 90% to 100% relief.

34 year old female that presents with a recently diagnosed case of fibromyalgia. She is very opposed to using any of the recommended medications and sought a natural solution. Pain is primarily focused across the shoulders and between the shoulder blades. Home stretches and nutritional changes that minimize inflammation helped mitigate some of the symptoms. Introduction of the EFAC cream provided same day relief. She continue use the cream and nutritional changes to minimize inflammation over the next several months with symptoms completely resolving after 15 weeks.

She expresses 75% relief with regular use. Consistent use with chiropractic adjustments allowed for a symptomatic 95% relief. She shows long-term complaints of migraines. Patient has used multiple prescription medications as well as over-the-counter medications for her headaches. They have been effective however she has a had stomach upset and GI disturbances from these. EFAC was applied at the base of the skull in the temporal region as well as the upper trapezius all bilaterally. She was able to utilize this during the mild/moderate and severe phases of her headaches. She experienced great relief during the mild and moderate phase. However, only slight relief was experienced during the severe phase.

41 year old male who presented with chronic fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, and migraines. He had tried multiple treatments over the last 16 years with little and no relief. We initiated a program which included the EFAC cream primarily focusing on short-term symptom relief. When the patient used the cream early on in the exacerbation, as relief was significant.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

60 year old female presented with rheumatoid arthritis planning of swollen hands and sore neck with stiffness as well as intermittent swelling in her feet or laterally. She also complained of significant pain in her hands and feet no intermittent. Her latest flareup was 6 months duration and during this time she experienced a medication reaction. This relief was sustained until the patient contracted Lyme’s disease at which point there was no longer effective.

78 year old female who presented with pain related to her rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. We have treated her on and off for the past 12 years with satisfactory results however we did not have a good solution for home care. We began by using the EFAC cream and office and sending her home with sample packets. She called this for herself alone in her car on the way home and let us know that her pain had dramatically let up (approximately 90% relief). She has been using the cream for the last 6 months with similar results. Unfortunately her medical doctor does not want her to use the capsules.

34 year old male construction worker long history of psoriasis. Skin changes were noted on both arms, right flank, and knees. He had tried multiple creams from his dermatologist over the years there were minimally helpful. Sun seemed to be the most effective treatment for his sores. However given the cold climate during winter he was not able to get enough sun exposure to reduce the lesions. He began using the EFAC cream to areas affected with the idea of a 4 week trial. Initially his clothes ‘would rub off the EFAC cream and during the day when he was working. We found a most effective for him to apply the cream in the evening and on weekends when he was not required to wear heavy garments required for the cold. He did see a 25-50% reduction in the size of the lesions and they appeared less flaky and red. He continues to use this to this date.

He does not recall how long these have been going on and was only told recently they appear to be psoriasis. He desires a very conservative approach to this. Among our suggestions was used to EFAC cream to the lesions several times a day. He was to note any discomfort or worsening which he did not experience. Over the next 3.5-4 weeks the patient gradually experienced a lessening of the intensity and number of lesions. However he never experienced a complete relief of the lesions.

51 year old female with a history of restless leg syndrome of 8 years. She had tried multiple approaches to mitigating the symptoms of RLS with very little effectiveness from any of them. These included medications, nutritional approaches, and relaxation techniques. We initiated the use of EFAC cream with application in the lumbar sacral portions of the spine as well as on the legs. Relief from RLS was about 50% with variations as high as 80% and as low as 20% relief. We discussed food choice changes to minimize inflammation as well as minimizing anxiety (i.e. caffeine). These changes gave her more consistent relief.

54 year old male that presents with recent onset of restless leg syndrome. It has been progressively getting worse and at this point suggestions have been made for warm baths, nutrition, and medications made by the medical doctor. We concurred with the nutritional suggestions and added the use of EFAC cream in the evenings applied to lower lumbar spine and legs. The patient experienced a lessoning of the symptoms during the first half of the night. He found he was waking up in the early morning with a return of symptoms. We suggested he reapply the EFAC cream which allowed him enough relief to go back to sleep. He was able to control his symptoms with this protocol to this date.

84 year old male who presented with multiple complaints including restless leg syndrome. The RLS interrupted her sleep nightly as well as giving her late night irritations. She states that she has had the RLS for a number of years has not been able to find anything to relieve that. She was initiated on a nightly use of the EFAC cream. She began to sleep better and experience relief almost immediately. Subsequently, the better her sleep the greater lead she had after the initial use. She continues to use the cream nightly and has experienced sustained relief.

74 year old female who presented with history of restless leg syndrome and shingles. Although she was presenting for chiropractic adjustments she inquired as to any natural solutions that may affect the stitch conditions. We recommended a combination of EFAC cream for palliative relief as well as the EFAC caps for sustained relief. Caps were dosed at 2 t.Ld. for 60 days then reducing to one T.Ld .. She experienced sustained relief with only occasional flare-ups of the restless leg syndrome and very intermittently shingles.

Post Herpetic Neuralgia (Shingles)

82 year old male with recent history of shingles primarily on the l4-l5 dermatome. He recently experienced pneumonia which he felt exacerbated/lead to this episode of shingles. Medically he was not given any particular treatment for this only been told that this would run its course. We initiated use of topical EFAC cream which within a few days had reduced the pain 50%. Healing of the sores was slower than the reduction of pain, however both within 2 weeks had improved dramatically. He did experience a 2 day period with an exacerbation of pain but without any visible exacerbation of sores. He continued to use EFAC cream for a period of 3 weeks beyond the healing of the last sore.

Adult male patient presented with a complaint of shingles on the right side of his face that had been persistent for about 6 weeks. He had tried L-lysine both orally and topically as well as some salves from his dermatologist which were essentially unhelpful. Note a number of sores had been fairly static, the size seemed to persist if not increase slightly. We had him apply EFAC cream to his face being sure not to approximate the eyes or lips. We also asked him to surround the sores without necessarily placing in the sores. Within the first week many of the sores crusted over and looked as though they were healing at which time we asked the patient to fully cover the sore. This helped the wounds heal much faster and mitigated the development of any new sores. 3 weeks later the patient had completely healed other than noticeable marks from where the wounds had been.

58 year old male with a history of shingles in L5 dermatome primarily on the right that had been very slow to heal. He began an adjusting protocol that relieved some pain, but the lesions persisted. He began using EFAC cream applied to the dermatome bilaterally as well as the spine. Within a few days the lesions were less intense and less angry looking. Within approximately 3 weeks the patient was feeling much better, lesions almost entirely healed and other subjective complaints are now minimal.

Migraine Headaches

17 year old female who presented with a long history of migraine headaches. She reported a whiplash-like injury 5 years ago as a primary precipitating factor for her headaches. Headaches were 3-4 times per week and made it very difficult for her to do most activities. We began using the EFAC cream on the sub-occipitals and temporalis muscles bilaterally. She was to begin this at the first sign of a headache or tension. When done in this manner, the cream is very effective at minimizing if not negating the headache. If the headache was more progressed, it would decrease the intensity and duration of the headache. When used in combination with nutritional changes such as little or no coffee, chocolate, or other triggers such as peanuts she had a much better response.

32 year old female who presented with history of migraine headaches. She had used multiple medications there were mildly effective. Patient reported that 50-70% of the time she was able to get significant amount of relief. Relief otherwise was minor. The excess amount of activities were usually associated with minimal relief.

51 year old female who presented with recent onset of migraines that have been gradually getting worse. They have interrupted her sleep and made it very difficult for her to do most activities around the house because of the exacerbation of pain. She does not swallow pills well nor does she like the idea of taking medications on a regular basis. In addition to her adjusting protocol, we used the EFAC cream applied to the suboccipital muscles, temporalis muscles, and upper trapezius bilaterally when rising in the morning, during the day with any exacerbation, and before she went to bed at night. Within 2 weeks with this protocol the patient expressed a 50% reduction in her symptoms and after 30 day period her headaches are virtually gone. She now uses the EFAC cream palliatively at the first onset of symptoms.

28 year old male that presented with history of migraines after a collision in softball that has interrupted most of his activities and made it very difficult for him to concentrate. His pain was focused in the suboccipital regions with pain radiating behind his eyes. He also experienced hyperacusis. He began an adjusting protocol along with the use of EFAC cream to the suboccipital region and his forehead. This allowed him to sleep better within a short period of time. He subsequently was able to use the cream during the daytime while at work and during waking activities with positive reduction in pain.

48 year old female with history of migraines and fibromyalgia-like symptoms that she’s been experiencing for the last 3 years. Though she wasn’t now, she had been working in a factory that had initiated her symptoms. 41 year old female who presented with long history of fibromyalgia and headaches. She tried multiple approaches including medications that had been ineffective to this point. She began by using the EFAC caps dosed at 2 t.Ld. for 30 days and then decreasing to one 3 times a day. During the first 90 days she also used EFAC cream with lessening need for the cream after 30 days. She has had sustained relief while on a maintenance dose of EFAC caps and using the EFAC cream for exacerbations.

He has used numerous over-the-counter medications as well as prescription medications to deal with his migraines, but has not had sustaining relief. Additionally, he has not done well with the use of his medications as they irritate his stomach and make him nauseated from time to time. We have implemented a chiropractic adjusting protocol along with the use of EFAC cream to the suboccipitals and temporalis muscles. After an initial exacerbation of symptoms, his migraines decreased significantly and he experienced increased range of motion in his cervical spine as well as improved focus and concentration. He currently uses the EFAC cream when traveling successfully mitigating the onset of his symptoms.
